Mortgage Administrator

Full-time Permanent Role

The Mortgage Administrator plays a key role in overseeing the mortgage application process from initial submission to final approval. This role requires close coordination with clients, lenders, and internal teams to ensure a seamless and efficient mortgage experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of mortgage products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Processing: Review and process mortgage applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing regular updates throughout the mortgage journey.
  • Documentation Management: Collect, verify, and organise essential documents required for mortgage applications.
  • Lender Coordination: Extract and record data necessary for completing credit paperwork (full training provided). Liaise with lenders to facilitate approvals and negotiate terms when required.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procedures adhere to relevant regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate records within the mortgage management system and update client information as needed.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the mortgage process to avoid delays in closing.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyse reports on key metrics, including application processing times and other performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Education: QFA qualification or a commitment to achieving this.
  • Experience: 2+ years in mortgage processing, office administration, or a related role (mortgage experience preferred).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with mortgage products is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and multitasking skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
